Lambina, South Australia and its opal

Lambina opal field is 100 kilometers south of the Northern Territory Border in South Australia's remote Far North. Lambina is Australia's most recently worked source of precious opal.

Although it has been mined for the last 30 years it has only been recently that significant amounts of precious opal have been found.
